Remembrance of goodness and sacrifice is the true meaning of Muharram. Let us emulate the spirit of Muharram embodying humanism which is core principle of Islam.
I appeal to Muslim brethren in the State to observe the occasion by staying at home in view Covid-19 situation. I also appeal to all eligible people to get vaccinated as early as possible, if not already done, as Covid-19 vaccine can minimize the risk and offer protection against the virus. As new variants of Covid-19 are emerging, it is mandatory for everyone to follow Covid-appropriate behavior by wearing mask, maintaining social distance, using hand sanitiser. It is necessary that all the persons who are vaccinated are also required follow the Covid-19 guidelines, to protect themselves and their family members.”
